Collapse ▲Looking for a fun summer project to do with your child or grandchild? Join Brunswick County Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers for a hands-on workshop all about bees and how we can help them thrive.
Kids will learn about different kinds of bees and their vital role in pollination and our food supply. Then, each child will decorate their own bee hotel to take home and hang in the backyard — a fun way to support our buzzing friends!
🐝 Workshop Details:
- $30 per child (includes all supplies)
- One adult may bring up to two children (ages 5–12 recommended)
- 18 child/adult team spots available — register early!
- The workshop is indoors, but kids will be painting — please dress accordingly
Participants will receive printed information about bees, and Master Gardener℠ volunteers will be on hand to assist and answer questions. After the workshop, enjoy an optional tour of the Brunswick County Extension Demonstration Gardens.
🌼 Proceeds support Cooperative Extension Outreach Programs.
