Pesticide Exams & School.
For those needing to recertify or who want to obtain their pesticide applicator license with an in-person program there are two upcoming dates in the region to do that.
Pesticide Applicator School & Exam @ 1 p.m. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, New Hanover County Center on September 7, 2023. The address is: 6206 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC.
Pesticide Applicator Exam @ 1 p.m. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Onslow County Center on September 13, 2023. The address is: 234 Corridor Blvd., Jacksonville, NC.

Pesticide Applicator Recertification Class
Two pesticide applicator recertification classes for licensed applicators will be held at the Pender County Extension office on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Commercial and private applicators needing N, O, D, X or any other specialty topic training can attend class from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. You will receive two hours of recertification credit for this class. To register call the Pender County Extension office at 910-259-1235. One of this training will be taught by Dr. Jason Ward, Ag & Bioengineering at NC State. He will be talking about and demonstrating drone use for pesticide applications. The topic for the second hour is still in the planning stages.
Private pesticide applicators who need two hours of safety training (V category) can attend a two hour class on September 26, 2023 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. To register call the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Pender County Center at 910-259-1235.
