Seed Germination Workshop

The Speakers Bureau of the Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteer Program will offer a Seed Germination Workshop, led by Extension Master Gardener volunteer of Pender County, Steve Bundy. The workshop will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 10 a.m.–noon, at the Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church, 10255 US Hwy 17, Wilmington, NC 28411, directly across the highway from Poplar Grove Plantation.

Attendees will learn germination techniques to start plants indoors and the materials needed to do so, as well as the best practices for care and transplanting of seedlings. The workshop will cover the importance of lighting, fertilization, watering, and the collection and storage of seeds. Attendees will have hands-on practice planting seeds and transplanting seedlings. Bring your garden gloves and join us for this consistently popular educational workshop!

Enrollment for this workshop is limited to 25 attendees and there is a prepaid $5 fee for materials and supplies. Cash or check payments only, no credit cards accepted.
