Pender County Child Care Providers Working With 4 and 5 Year Olds

Teaching young children about healthy eating and being physically active is important. But, how do you fit it into your busy day? How do you make it fun for the children? Color Me Healthy is an innovative program that uses color, music, and exploration of the senses to teach children ages four and five that healthy food and physical activity are fun!

Training on Color Me Healthy curriculum will be held Thursday April 18, 2013 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Pender County Cooperative Extension Center. Training to be led by Extension Family and Consumer Science Agent, Chantel Welker.

Participants of the training will receive:

1) All the materials you will need to teach the Color Me Healthy lessons in your classroom

2) Background information about healthy eating and physical activity in young children

3) Easy tips to help you eat healthy and be physically active

4) DCD hours, sponsored by Smart Start of Pender County

Cost and Registration

Advance registration is required. $5 non-refundable registration fee payable to Pender County Extension Education. Fee is due upon registration. Drop off or mail to 6206 Oleander Drive Wilmington, NC 28403. Registration deadline is April 12, 2013.
